This Privacy Policy explains how PDF Utility ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and tools at pdfutility.org. It's written to be actually read, not just filed away -- if anything here is unclear, contact us through our Support page.
We use account information to operate your account and apply the correct usage limits. We use uploaded files solely to perform the conversion, edit, or other operation you requested. We do not read, share, sell, or use the content of your files for any other purpose -- including advertising, analytics, or training any artificial intelligence or machine learning model. Your files are yours; we're just processing them on your instruction.
Uploaded and generated files are stored only for as long as needed to complete the operation you requested:
We do not keep permanent copies of your files, and we do not back them up separately once deleted. Some tools may process parts of a file directly in your browser without ever sending it to our servers at all.
We use essential cookies required for the Service to function -- for example, keeping you signed in, remembering how many free conversions a guest has used, and protecting forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.
If you choose to sign in with Google, Google will share basic profile information (name, email) with us as part of that sign-in process, governed by Google's own privacy policy. We use a hosting/infrastructure provider to run the Service; they process data on our behalf under their own security commitments and do not use it for their own purposes.
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your account information and files while they are on our servers, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls limiting who can reach production systems. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we work to keep your data safe and to minimize how long it exists on our servers in the first place.
Uploaded and generated files are deleted automatically as described in Section 3. Account information (name, email) is retained for as long as your account exists, or until you request deletion.
Regardless of where you live, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information at any time by contacting us through our Support page. If you are in the EU/UK or another jurisdiction with statutory data-protection rights, those rights apply to you in full; we will respond to verified requests without undue delay.
Our servers may be located in a different country than you are. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected consistently with this Policy.
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or applicable law. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
